Less Distraction.
More Focus.
Distraction-Free Schools Policy Project is a growing coalition of parents, educators, and school administrators united in calling for legislative action and policy changes to address the overuse of smartphones, social media, and School-Tech in our nation's schools.

We are mobilizing and training state-based coalitions across the country to advocate for distraction-free schools.

The Model Bill Package
The Becca Schmill Foundation and Smartphone Free Childhood U.S, have drafted a package of three model bills focused on creating distraction-free school environments in collaboration. The bills are written to establish a gold standard that prioritizes students' mental health and development, academically and socially. Share the bills with your state legislators to let them know the time is now for distraction free schools.
